The Global Citizenship Summit for Youth Policy, Voice and Action
The Global Citizenship Summit for Youth Policy, Voice and Action seeks to bring together a diverse community of global youth to share their experiences and perspectives on “glocal” issues. The week-long event is taking place at Lakehead University in Orillia, Ontario, Canada and the surrounding community. A group of international youth from Fiji, Botswana, Malta, Guyana and Bahamas will join with local Indigenous youth, international students, and other youth from across Ontario for a deep intercultural experience.
Over half of the worlds population is under 30 years old. Today's issues have a disproportionate impact on youth whose voices are often underrepresented in halls of power and decision making. This site is a space to amplify youth voices and support the critical role of youth leadership in building a healthy, just and sustainable world.

Our ongoing project thrives through partnerships with individuals and organizations, including youth leaders, and academic, governmental and non-governmental organizations. We are actively recruiting youth leaders from small Commonwealth states to participate in research to benefit fellow youth through advancing educational opportunities. Our project is rooted in a Community-Based and Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) framework.
